Customize emails sent by your gift card program

Loopz emails can match your brand: colors, fonts, images, subject lines, and the blocks that show the gift card, QR code, and Apple Wallet or Google Wallet buttons. Customize them on the dashboard in Email Designer.

Changes to Header, Footer, and Styles apply to every email in the program. Changes to Subject and Body apply only to the template you are editing.

Open Email Designer

1. In the dashboard sidebar, go to Gift Card Assets and open Emails.
2. Find the template you want to customize.
3. Click Edit Email.

You can expand a row to preview the template before you edit it. Some templates also have an enable toggle so you can turn that notification on or off without changing the design.

Templates include emails for issuing a gift card, confirming a gift order, store credit, bonus cards, charges, reloads, refunds, bulk issues, and gift orders that are under review or declined.

Designer layout

The designer shows a live preview on the left and editing tabs on the right.

• Switch the preview between desktop and mobile.
• Use Language & Location to edit and preview a specific locale.
• Tabs on the right: Subject, Header, Body, Footer, Styles, and Variables.
• At the bottom: Send Test Email, Reset to Default, Cancel, and Save.

Subject

Edit the subject line for the selected language. You can include variables so the subject fills in details like the recipient name or gift amount when the email is sent.

Header and footer

Header and Footer are shared across all emails in the program. An info banner in those tabs reminds you that edits apply everywhere.

Typical header blocks:

• Image — your logo. Set Image Link URL and Image Width, or remove the image and upload a new one.
• Text — intro copy above the body.

Typical footer blocks:

• Business Info — name, address, and other business details pulled from your program.
• Powered by Loopz Footer — the Loopz attribution. You can hide it with the visibility control on that block.

Each container (Header, Body, Footer) also has its own background, margin, padding, and border.

Body blocks

The Body tab is unique to the template you opened. For example, Gift Card Issued Email includes a gift message, the card design, a QR code, redemption instructions, a button, and wallet pass buttons.

Each block has:

• A drag handle to reorder it
• Visibility (eye) to show or hide it
• Move up and move down
• Delete (for blocks you added)
• Expand to edit settings

Blocks you can add

Click Add Section, then choose:

• Text — rich text you write yourself
• Image — an uploaded image
• HTML — custom HTML for advanced layouts

Built-in blocks

These blocks are part of the template. You can style them, reorder them, and hide them; you do not add them from Add Section.

• Gift Message — the purchaser's note. Separate Sender and Anonymous variants.
• Card Design — the gift card artwork for that order.
• QR Code — a scannable code for the card.
• Wallet Pass Buttons — Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet.
• Redemption Instructions — separate In-Store and Online copy.
• Button — a call to action (for example, view or manage the card).
• Transaction Details, Order Details, Bulk Cards List, and Business Info — appear on templates that need them.

Editing a block

Open a block to see tabs for its content and style.

Text blocks include a rich text toolbar: title, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, link, undo, redo, and Insert variable. Type {{ in the editor to search and insert a variable. Font settings cover family, weight, style, size, color, and alignment.

Most blocks also have:

• Background — color and optional background image (position, repeat, size)
• Margin and Padding — left, right, top, and bottom
• Border — width, color, and style per side, plus corner radii

Image blocks add Image Link URL and Image Width.

HTML blocks let you paste markup when you need a layout the other block types cannot do.

Styles

The Styles tab sets defaults for every email in the program:

• Page Background — color and optional image (recommended 1600px by 1200px), plus position, repeat, and size
• Button — button background color and button text color
• Text — default font, text color, and link color
• Table — header and body colors for tables such as order or bulk card details

Variables

The Variables tab lists every merge field for that email type, with a short description and a copy control. When the email is sent, each placeholder is replaced with the real value for that order or card.

Common variables include recipient name and email, business name and logo, program name, card number, account balance, gift amount, gift message, card design image, website URLs, and Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass URLs. Conditional fields use a section form such as {{#locale}}...{{/locale}}.

Insert variables from the text toolbar, by typing {{, or by copying them from this tab into a subject line or HTML block.

Preview, test, and save

1. Check the left preview in both desktop and mobile, and in each language you send.
2. Click Send Test Email, enter an address, and send a sample. The test uses your current unsaved design.
3. Click Save when you are happy with the result. Future emails from the program use the updated design.

Reset to Default restores the Loopz default for this template. Cancel leaves without saving.
